Air Compressor Control Systems
In most industrial facilities the largest consumer of energy is the compressed air system - specifically the air compressor. It has also been identified as the area that provides the most opportunity to reduce energy costs. While individual air compressors may be efficient, when applied within a multiple compressor installation, the system itself becomes inefficient. This is due mainly to the lack of a centralized compressed air system controller allowing on-line horsepower to match system demand. JHF is a leader in the design and manufacture of centralized compressed air system controllers. We currently have state-of-the-art system controllers capable of interfacing all major manufacturers and types of air compressor. Our ability to integrate both air flow and air pressure with the latest in programmable logic control makes our controllers unique in the compressed air industry. It has made it possible for us to maximize the energy savings in new as well as existing systems with compressors ranging from 30 to 5,000 horsepower.Our centralized compressed air system controllers also incorporated diagnostic capabilities. This allows our customers the ability to monitor and trend critical parameters such as:

- Kilowatts
- Dew point
- Plant air demand
- Multiple pressure points
- Multiple temperature points
- Compressor operational hours
With years of experience in compressor control and system design, our teams have the ability to custom design control and monitor equipment for any type or size of compressed air system. We work with clients individually to design systems to maximize efficiency, reliability and profitability of their compressed air systems.
JHF has branded these interface controllers as Flo-Trol and Pro-Trol. Flo-Trol is capable of monitoring the pressure flow in multiple air compressors, along with the ability to rotate the use, therefore distributing air equally between units instead of running continually. This results in equal wear and tear on each machine leading to improved efficiency. Pro-Trol measures both the air flow and the air pressure of the compressed air system and runs the most economic combination of the compressor system typically saving up to 30% of the compressor energy costs.
