John Henry Foster is one of very few firms nationally that is structured to work with both sides of compressed air system – the supply and demand – and has since the firm’s beginnings. By providing both capital equipment and pneumatic components consultatively, we are a leader with innovative solutions and consistent value to customers with our engineered processes and technical development.
JHF specialists assist customers in their efforts to improve the effectiveness, operation and reliability of their entire compressed air systems. Our knowledge of products, monitoring capability and application techniques in the compressed air industry allows us to maximize solutions for clients. By creating seamless integration between design, test, maintenance, training and other technical support, we can partner with clients in improving productivity – by maximizing system performance, lowering operational costs and increasing system reliability.

John Henry Foster (JHF) has a vast inventory of compressor units and parts and is an authorized distributor of the following manufacturers: Quincy, Rietschle, CompAir, Numatics, Domnick Hunter and Zeks, to name a few. Our goal is to provide customers with timely, reliable, one-trip service.
- We have a fleet of stocked 4x4 service trucks and long distance service vehicles providing reliable service to our customer sites. The service trucks each stock about $70,000 of repair and maintenance parts and lubricants to support our one-trip approach.
- JHF technicians have extensive training and experience in providing maintenance and repairs, including major air end overhauls. Our commitment to staff training is ongoing with JHF’s service technicians offering customers over 140 combined years between 14 service technicians.
- We are usually able to repair compressed air equipment with just one service visit and are capable of handling most repair and maintenance challenges in the customer facility.
- Our seven Service Advisors are knowledgeable with over 75 years of combined experience. These Advisors are adept at troubleshooting in an effort to save our customers time and money. Often we are able to walk a customer through the troubleshooting process to resolve the challenge directly over the phone.
- JHF offers mobile service to the greater five-state area including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Iowa. This is accomplished by regularly scheduled routes, thus reducing costs for repair and maintenance services by dividing mileage and trip costs among multiple customers. We also provide on-demand service and maintenance to accommodate customer schedules and emergencies.

Compressor Parts and Lubricants
Partnering with suppliers and troubleshooting with customers - JHF technicians search for timely and cost effective solutions both for regularly scheduled maintenance and for emergencies. We manage a large inventory of stocked parts and handle purchasing of specific-non-stock items to meet our client’s needs. In addition to JHF stocking the brands for which we are an authorized distributor, we also stock parts for other major brands.
